Ever filled a form online? Ofcourse yes. Say for example you are opening a new email account, for which you start filling up a form online.
You come across a field ‘Country’ which have to fill in. But, you notice that you do not need to actually type-in the country, but instead just select from a drop-down of names of countries. This can be done in Excel also! It is extremely simple. Just follow the below steps: –

  • Select the cells on which you want to make the drop-down list.
  • Go to Data tab on the ribbon, and under Data Tools, select Data Validation.
  • Under Allow, select List.
  • In the source, type the required options with comma-separated. Eg. 1,2,3 to make a list of 1, 2 and 3 so that you can select any number from these.
Your done!
